Anne McCann is an experienced Emergency Management director and Harvard Kennedy School Senior Executive Fellow with a long history of serving the public in the government and nonprofit sectors. She has worked for the US Department of Veterans Affairs, served as the director of the Delaware Humane Association, then moved in emergency management with the Delaware EMA. She then joined USDA APHIS as the National Emergency Programs Coordinator, retiring as the Director of Emergency Management, Safety and Occupational Health Programs from USDA APHIS. Never one to sit still for long, Anne dove into the nonprofit world as a consultant for ASAR Training and Response based in Kansas City. Leveraging her national network of contacts and years of experience as an Emergency Management & Planning and EOC Specialist, Anne was one of the driving forces behind the formation of the National Animal Rescue and Sheltering Coalition after Hurricane Katrina, and is currently the President-Elect of NARSC.
